The arms dealer WH e.K. offers:Walther P38 (P.38), WaA 359, 9 mm Luger, Walther/Zella-Mehlis, slide P1The Walther P.38 (original spelling with a dot) was a standard-issue pistol of the German Wehrmacht. It is a recoil-operated pistol with a short-recoil barrel. The weapon was intended as a replacement for the very complex and therefore expensive Pistol 08. It was the most commonly issued pistol of the German Wehrmacht. In the mid-1930s, a new standard weapon was developed by Carl Walther GmbH. In 1935, the Wehrmacht received a number of these new Walther army pistols. Until 1945, the Walther weapons factories in Zella-Mehlis (ac), Spreewerk Grottau (cyq), and Mauser Oberndorf (byf, svw) produced the P.38 pistol in large quantities. After 1945, it was reintroduced as a captured weapon with the permission of the Allied authorities at various institutions. For the Bundeswehr and civilians, production of the P.38 and then the P1 was resumed in 1957. The successor to the P1 in the Bundeswehr is the Heckler & Koch P8. By the end of the war, approximately 1.2 million units of the P.38 had been produced. The weapon could be easily disassembled and was very well equipped with safety features, including a safety for the hammer, which was adopted from the police pistol PP with its settings 'Chamber' and 'Loaded'. In combat, it proved to be more reliable than the Pistol 08, due to its combination of safety and trigger. The weapon could be carried cocked with a round in the chamber. The Walther P38 is indispensable in the ranks of classic military pistols. After 1945, it was reintroduced as a captured weapon with the permission of the Allied authorities at various institutions. Under French occupation, P.38s were still manufactured from existing parts even after the German capitulation (marked with svw46 and star). Approximately 1,500 Walther HP (Heerespistole) with serial numbers 1,000 to 2,500 were exported to Sweden in 1939 and 1940 and were introduced into the Swedish army as m/39.Manufacturer: Carl Walther GmbH UIm, Im Lehrer Feld 1, 89081 Ulm ([email protected])Walther Heerespistole HP with acceptance WaA359 (four-digit SN with suffix on the grip)Caliber: 9 mm LugerAcceptance stamp WaA 359 and others on the gripSlide of newer manufacture (P1 with Walther flag), presumably '73 (proof date)partially matching numbers, slide was stamped to the gripGrip and all other original parts with former "water marks"used condition, bluing slightly wornnice repro wooden grip panelsMagazine of newer manufacturewith lanyard loop* Take the opportunity to view in the store.
