This pistol has been produced almost unchanged since its beginnings in the 1950s. The blued surface and its compactness give the pistol a distinctive appearance. The RG3 is loaded with 6 mm Flobert ammunition. The 6-shot stick magazine mechanically advances the rounds after each shot. However, manual work is also required with the RG3. The empty casings must be ejected from the magazine after shooting using a built-in ejector pin integrated into the pistol. This allows for safe disposal without problems. After 6 shots have been fired, the magazine comes out at the end of the slide. The magazine can also be removed manually and safely by setting the safety lever to the appropriate position and pulling the trigger at the same time. The RG 3 has been built largely unchanged since the 1950s, but has been modified in details: in the current model, it is possible to change the magazine while the signal cup is screwed on. There are both models in plain blued finish as well as nickel-plated or chrome-plated surfaces. The principle of the RG 3 is based on a horizontal magazine transport. The loaded magazine is inserted into the weapon from the front and can be removed from the back after use. Due to the deflection of the ammunition energy by 90 degrees, this weapon does not require a barrel lock. One of the best-known blank-firing weapons from Röhm. The workhorse on New Year's Eve.
