Walther P.38 WaA 359 ac 41 weapon number 2161iI am selling from my weapon collection an original P38 ac41 with WaA 359 stamp from World War II production in fairly good condition. WARNING: The presentation of a purchase permit is required to buy this product. The weapon has no valid proof and is therefore not available for sports shooters. However, it is possible to have the weapon re-proofed according to valid laws. Furthermore, the weapon is matching numbers. This is a rare special model with a short barrel and a nickel-plated surface instead of the usual bluing. The barrel has sharp grooves and lands but is marked with significant rust scars. A leather holster from post-war production is included in the delivery.Private sale, excluding any warranty and return. The Walther P38 was a standard-issue pistol of the German Wehrmacht. It is a recoil-operated pistol with a short recoil barrel. The weapon was intended as a replacement for the very complex and therefore expensive Pistol 08. It was the most commonly used pistol of the German Wehrmacht. In the mid-1930s, a new standard weapon was developed by Carl Walther GmbH. In 1935, the Wehrmacht received a number of these new Walther army pistols. Until 1945, the Walther weapon factories in Zella-Mehlis (ac), Spreewerk Grottau (cyq), and Mauser Oberndorf (byf, svw) produced the P38 pistol in large quantities. After 1945, it was used again as a captured weapon with the permission of the Allied authorities at various institutions. For the Bundeswehr and civilians, the production of the P38 and then the P1 was resumed in 1957. By the end of the war, approximately 1.2 million pieces of the P38 had been manufactured. The weapon could be easily disassembled and was very well equipped with safety features, including a safety for the hammer. In combat, it proved to be more reliable than the Pistol 08, due to its combination of safety and trigger. The Walther P38 is indispensable in the ranks of classic military pistols. - Manufacturer: Walther-Waffenwerke Zella-Mehlis ac 41- Walther army pistol HP with acceptance WaA359, serial number 2161 i- Caliber: 9 mm Luger- Barrel length 75 mm- Acceptance stamp WaA 359 and other eagle stamps- matching numbers- used condition, nickel-plated- beautiful KN wooden grip panels and original plastic grip panels- magazines matching numbers- with lanyard loop!
