The newly constructed Mauser HSr is an evolution of the legendary Mauser HSc and is manufactured in Germany as a solid all-metal weapon using the latest production methods. The designation HSr stands in old tradition for "Hammer-Action Rimfire Pistol."  Constructively, the developers of this pistol have taken new paths and utilized the basic design of the world-renowned SIG® P232. From this model, the designers adopted the decocking lever function as well as the disassembly function to separate the slide from the frame. The manual side safety lever again features a well-known Mauser HSc design element.The associated firing pin safety and a drop safety meet the current requirements of modern pistol design.
