In 1898, the weapon was standardized and introduced into the German Army, hence the name: G(ewehr) 98. Different manufacturers covered the armament needs. Ten years later, a new and shorter variant, the carbine, was produced, which was also intended for other tasks. It was a compromise between performance, portability, and handling. The Mauser Carbine 98 impressed with a superbly constructed, robust rotating cylinder lock with two front locking lugs and a rear safety lug.--- No replica or model weapon, this is an original deactivated K98! ---Further decorative weapons are available, such as various 98s, semi-automatic and fully automatic weapons (PPSH, MG34, MG42, SAFN49, etc.), Mosin Nagant, Carl Gustavs, ...Manufacturer: Preduzece 44 (bnz, byf, bcd, 27, 234 or ce, etc.)-> refurbished by Zastava in Yugoslavia - the manufacturer’s markings and the WaA acceptance of the casing have been ground off and the casing has been topped with a new emblem (Jugo) and marked on the side with the inscription "Preduzece 44". The casing, most of the attachment parts, or even the stock may be original WH production.-> the pictures are example images of an original rifle, there are more than 20 in stock.
