The arms dealer WH e.K. offers:Revolver Dan Wesson Model 15 .357 Magnum, "Monson", Pistol Pak, 2.5"/4"/6"/8" barrelDan Wesson was the nickname of Daniel B. Wesson II, the founder of the company. He was the great-grandson of Daniel Baird Wesson, one of the founders of Smith & Wesson (S & W), and lived from 1916 to 1978. He worked at S & W from 1938 to 1963, but also operated a tool manufacturing company since 1948. When S & W was sold by the family in 1963, he left the company and dedicated himself to his own business. Even after his death, the name Dan Wesson remained as a brand name for the firearms. The company Dan Wesson Firearms has produced various firearms and ammunition throughout its history. Weapons from the Monson production are already collector's items in the USA. The European stock of these weapons is very low. In addition to revolvers, Dan Wesson also manufactured other firearms, developed new calibers, and revolver ammunition. Two innovations make Dan Wesson revolvers particularly stand out:- Instead of a two-piece grip around a frame, the grip on Dan Wesson consists of a spur on the frame of the weapon that engages a one-piece wooden grip and is screwed from below. This means that the wooden grips are made from a single piece and fit without further processing.- The locking of the cylinder swing arm is located in front of the cylinder (unlike Smith & Wesson with the sliding grip or Colt's knob for pulling behind the cylinder).CZ acquired the company in 2005. New products and spare parts for old models were still available; however, only the M1911-based pistols were imported to Europe.Dan Wesson revolvers consist of a frame with a grip to which barrels of various lengths can be attached. The barrel is not, as with revolvers from Colt, S&W, or Ruger, part of the frame; the barrel and the barrel shroud are separate. The barrel is screwed into the frame and adjusted to the correct distance from the cylinder using a gauge, then countered with a nut at the end of the barrel with the barrel shroud. For this reason, there are only a few Dan Wesson revolvers with just one barrel; in contrast, Dan Wesson offered a "Pistol Pak" consisting of a frame and 2–5 barrels with shrouds of various lengths. Typically, the case has cutouts for barrels of 2.5", 4", 6", and 8" lengths. The ability to precisely adjust the barrel distance from the cylinder according to the gauge led to very good precision of the firearms. Instead of the nut at the muzzle, a muzzle brake available as an accessory from third-party companies can also be installed, e.g., when used as a backup weapon for hunting wild boars at dusk. Super interesting for hunters, the all-rounder but only a revolver since the interchangeable barrels do not count against the quota! Manufacturer:  Dan Wesson Factory Monson, Dan Wesson Firearms, 65 Borden Ave., Norwich, NY 13815Importer: CZ - Česká zbrojovka a.s., Svatopluka Čecha 1283, Uherský Brod 688 01, Czech Republic ([email protected])Model: 15Caliber: .357 MagnumBarrel length: 2.5"/4"/6"/8"Adjustable sightFull underlug (full-length underbarrel)Cylinder capacity: 6 cartridgesDA/SA triggerFinish: blued, partially rubbedIdeal backup weapon, with short barrelIdeal sport weapon, with long barrelReal wood grip with DW medalAs far as can be seen, matching numbersValid proof, GermanOriginal proof marks presentUsed condition, partially rubbedNo foreign stampsAccessories: adjustment gauge, 3 additional barrels with shrouds (Pistol Pack)* Take the opportunity to view in the store.
