Bicycle revolver/ Velodog, collector's item, minor defect #54-

The arms dealer WH e.K. offers:Bicycle revolver/ Velodog, collector's item, minor defect? The Velodog (also known as revolver de Poche) is a pocket revolver developed in France, originally created in the late 19th century by René Galand, the son of Charles-François Galand, to protect cyclists from dog attacks. Bicycle revolvers had their heyday in the 1920s. Another feature of many newer Velodog models is the absence of a trigger guard and a trigger that can be folded into or against the body of the weapon when not in use. All common models have short barrels to prevent snagging on clothing. Today, the term Velodog is used for a wide range of European and American pocket revolvers in various calibers from different (and often anonymous) manufacturers. A very nice and decorative collector's piece at a price appropriate to its condition. unknown manufacturerModel: Bicycle revolver, VelodogCaliber: .32 S&W (registered)Cylinder capacity: 6 cartridgesMaterial/Execution: All-steel weaponSights: fixedBarrel length: 1.5"colored hardened frame and controls, original?Trigger can be fully folded against the frameValid proofvery nice conditionWood grip panels almost without damageWARNING: Cylinder transport defective, does not always transport! This item is an antique! This weapon is no longer suitable for shooting for safety reasons!
