A great pocket revolver, produced before 1945 by Friedrich Pickert, in the arms factory in Zella St. Basil (until 1920) and later in Zella Mehlis. The name Arminius comes from a German hero of the first century AD; the head of a warrior is embossed on the grips. They had a very good reputation combined with a favorable price and high quality. Small pocket revolvers became increasingly popular at the beginning of the 20th century. These were revolvers with a fixed cylinder of small dimensions and small caliber. In the USA, for example, there were revolvers from the company Iver Johnson, and in Europe various types of Belgian revolvers. In Germany, their production was started by the company Friedrich Pickert in the town of Zella St.The Arminius has a shrouded hammer and a "floating" firing pin like the "Security Special." The revolver has a crisp trigger pull and locks cleanly due to the folding trigger. A spring-loaded button on the front of the cylinder allows for very easy disassembly of the drum.
