Founded in 1689 as a military arsenal for the production of muskets for the Swedish army. Later, the company evolved into an industrial enterprise that manufactured chainsaws, motorcycles, etc., and weapons for the Swedish armed forces as well as for the civilian market.In 1977, it was acquired by Electrolux, and the arms manufacturing parts of the company were sold to FFV, which continued to produce weapons for the military but ceased civilian weapon production after a few years.
