Single Tac Leg · 18–23 cm · M14
Tac Leg Standard: Replacement or height module for compatible Spartan systems
The Tac Leg Standard is a single spring-assisted leg with M14 thread. It replaces a damaged standard leg or complements a compatible Spartan head – it is neither a pair of legs nor a complete bipod.
A modular head does not need to be completely replaced in case of damage. The Tac Leg screws in, the lever releases the spring-assisted length adjustment, and the metal tip or plastic foot adapts to the ground.
Check before purchase
Quantity: Exactly one leg is included. Additional compatible components are needed for a complete rebuild.
Thread: M14 must be confirmed on the existing Spartan head; similar-looking older or foreign mounts are not proof.
Length: Standard covers about 18–23 cm. Long starts at about 23 cm and is a different product.
Our assessment from user and instructor perspective
As a spare part, the Tac Leg makes sense if identity and thread are clearly confirmed. An independent OpticsPlanet entry confirms 2.3 oz or about 66 g, single delivery, spring assistance, and terrain feet. The most common wrong purchase would not be the wrong color, but a single leg assuming it is a complete bipod.
Fits well if: you want to specifically replace a standard leg with M14 mount or modularly build a known compatible Spartan system.
Not ideal if: you need a complete bipod, a pair of legs, or the longer 23–30.5 cm version.
What really counts in use
Spring assistance: The lever releases the length change and makes one-handed adjustment easier.
M14 thread: The modular thread connects the leg with compatible Spartan bipod and tripod heads.
Two ground options: tungsten carbide tip for grippy ground, attached plastic foot for softer surfaces.
foot for hard or sensitive surfaces.
Single replacement: Only the damaged leg is replaced, provided the opposite leg and head match technically.
Trainer/User tip: Place the existing and new leg side by side before screwing it in. If length, thread, and lever position match, start the thread by hand and check the lock first without the firearm.
Limits, compatibility, and safe use
Never force the head with a tool against resistance. Keep thread and contact surface clean, fully operate the lever, and check the lock before applying tension. Two legs of different lengths change stance and shooting position.
Important note: This offer includes a single standard leg. Head, second leg, and firearm adapter are not included.
Comparison and useful alternatives
The Javelin Pro Hunt Tac is the complete bipod with two Tac legs. The Ascent Woodland leg also uses M14 but covers a completely different tripod and trekking role with 31–177 cm.

Frequently asked questions
Do I get one or two legs? A single Tac Leg Standard. What length does it cover? The standard version adjusts roughly from 18 to 23 cm. Does it only fit the Pro Hunt Tac? The manufacturer describes the M14 system as modular for compatible Spartan heads. The exact counterpart must be confirmed in advance. How does the height adjustment work? A spring-assisted lever releases the leg; after adjustment, it must fully lock. What foot options are available? A tungsten carbide tip and an attached plastic foot for hard or sensitive surfaces. When do I need the Long version? When the required working height is above the standard range of about 18–23 cm. Long is a separate leg.
