The XTR II 8-40x is the largest magnification scope in the entire Burris range. Although it was primarily intended for benchrest and extreme long-range fixed position targets, it has also become very popular for people shooting prairie dogs and other varmints in the next county.

The XTR II 8-40x50mm uses the XT-80 click adjustment knob, which provides 80 clicks per rotation. The Class F reticle is MOA.

Model #201081 is a rear focal plane scope with the new Class F DCH reticle. It is not illuminated. It is designed to provide the extreme precision required for benchrest competitors.

The reticle has 1-MOA and 1/2-MOA marks for wind hold

The front focal plane (FFP) reticle design allows the reticle size to increase or decrease as magnification increases or decreases; trajectory compensation is always correct and proportional to the set power; also called first focal plane or FFP

The multi-turn adjustment knobs have 1/8 MOA adjustment and feature a true Zero Click Stop; the knobs offer 8 mils per rotation, with multiple turns of adjustment
