OPTIC – NIKON PROSTAFF 5 4.5-18X40 SF MATTE IL NP

The new PROSTAFF 5 4.5-18×40 features numerous technological updates designed to satisfy even the most demanding hunters. A new bright optical system, significant reticle adjustments with manual rotation using spring-loaded zero-reset turrets, and a convenient fast-focus eyepiece with a 4x zoom ratio make adjustments while in a shooting position a breeze. The PROSTAFF 5 4.5-18×40 equipped with the BDC reticle is advantageous in a variety of hunting situations and can be used with Nikon Spot On Ballistic Match technology to eliminate guesswork by compensating for bullet drop. With enough power for longer shots, the PROSTAFF 5 4.5-18×40 will keep you on target even when shooting through thick brush and wood. This is a scope you can truly rely on in any situation.

The exclusive transparent ballistic circles of the BDC offer an incredible advantage for long-range shooting but allow a normal view for short-range shots where the sight itself is the aiming point. The various aiming points built into the BDC reticle allow hunters to stay “dead on” at distances beyond what was previously thought possible and can be used with Nikon’s Spot On Ballistic Match technology to give you exact aiming points at various yards. Finally, you can eliminate guesswork from elevation calculation and bullet drop compensation.

Keeps your eyebrows safe, even with heavier recoil cartridges, lightweight rifles, and severe shooting angles. The long eye relief, also known as high eye point design, offers a clear field of view for everyone, even when wearing eye protection.

Multiple layers of anti-reflective compounds on every glass surface provide bright and vivid images, optimal light transmission, and maximum brightness from dawn to dusk.

Reticle adjustments are made with 1/8 MOA click-stop moves that you can feel and hear, and with no play to keep you from moving off target. Positive click reticle adjustments allow you to zero faster and maintain your settings, even with repeated recoil and in tough conditions.

To simplify field adjustments, Nikon has integrated this feature into all new PROSTAFF 5 rifle scopes. Just sight as usual, then lift the spring-loaded adjustment knob, rotate to “zero,” and reinsert. Field adjustments are now as easy as composing the next ranges.

The PROSTAFF 5 series, like all Nikon rifle scopes, is optimized for use with Nikon Spot On Ballistic Match technology. Spot On lets you discover all the exact aiming points on your scope’s reticle at various yards for your specific ammunition and loads.

Excludes lost or stolen products and intentionally caused damage and excludes Nikon rangefinders, reflex sights, Red Dot sights, StabilEyes binoculars, and special optics.

Allows the shooter to immediately focus the reticle.

Filled with nitrogen and sealed with O-rings for maximum security in the toughest conditions.
