Sabatti S.A.R.: the classic Black Rifle
The Sabatti S.A.R. is a versatile and reliable semi-automatic rifle in .223 Remington caliber, developed around the AR-15 platform to offer shooting enthusiasts worldwide an Italian-made alternative in what has become the quintessence of modern sporting firearms.
The Upper and Lower Receivers are forged from Ergal 55, and the S.A.R. rifle adopts the typical MIL-SPEC AR-15/M4 control configuration, with a magazine release button on the right side, manual safety, and bolt release button on the left side.
The direct gas impingement system uses a low-profile bolt carrier, protected by a machined aluminium handguard with M-LOK slots for accessory mounting. A full-length top Picatinny rail provides ample space for mounting iron sights, scopes, or other electronic sighting systems.
The barrel is made by Sabatti from cold hammer-forged steel, with standard rifling and a standard M4 flash hider.
