Description

ThermTec Cyclone 625 – Compact Thermal Imager with 640 Sensor and Wide Field of View

The ThermTec Cyclone 625 combines a high-resolution 640 × 512 pixel thermal sensor with an exceptionally compact and lightweight housing. This gives you the detailed imaging of a powerful 640 sensor in a handy thermal imager that fits comfortably in your jacket pocket.

The 25 mm F1.0 lens offers an especially wide field of view of 30.8 × 24.6 meters at 100 meters. Together with the low optical base magnification of 1.4×, the Cyclone 625 is ideal for observations in the forest, at short to medium distances, and anywhere a quick overview of larger areas is needed.

The powerful thermal imaging technology is complemented by ThermTec AI Calibration, AI-supported multi-target distance estimation, a high-resolution AMOLED display, photo, video, and audio recording, 32 GB internal memory, as well as WLAN and app functions.
640 × 512 Pixel sensor for high detail recognition

The ThermTec Cyclone 625 features a 640 × 512 pixel thermal sensor with a pixel pitch of 12 µm. The high sensor resolution enables finely graduated representation of thermal structures and provides significantly more image information when digitally zooming compared to low-resolution systems.

The thermal sensitivity of < 20 mK NETD supports high-contrast imaging even when the object and environment differ only slightly in temperature. This can especially improve the visibility of fine details in high humidity, fog, or balanced temperatures.
25mm F1.0 Lens with Especially Wide Field of View

The 25mm F1.0 lens is designed for the widest possible overview. With a field of view of 17.5° × 14.0° or 30.8 × 24.6 meters at 100 meters, large areas can be scanned with comparatively little panning movement.

The optical base magnification of 1.4× supports natural orientation and makes the device especially interesting for observations in terrain rich in structure, at forest edges, or at short to medium distances.
Up to 1,300 meters detection range

Despite the compact 25 mm optic, the ThermTec Cyclone 625 achieves a specified detection range of up to about 1,300 meters. This device combines a very wide field of view with a long range for large-area thermal imaging observation.

The actual usable range depends, among other things, on object size, temperature contrast, weather, and environmental conditions.
ThermTec AI Calibration for stable image display

With the integrated ThermTec AI Calibration, the Cyclone 625 uses intelligent image calibration. The system takes different environmental situations into account and continuously adjusts the image display.

The goal is to achieve as uniform and stable thermal imaging as possible under changing temperature and weather conditions, as well as to reduce disruptive calibration interruptions.
AI Multi-Target Range Estimation

The Cyclone 625 features a software-based AI range estimation. If multiple heat sources are within the field of view, the system can analyze different objects and estimate corresponding range values.

Important: This function is an AI-based estimation and not an integrated laser rangefinder.
Three Image Modes and Six Color Palettes

Three different image modes are available to customize the display. This allows the thermal imaging to be adapted to various observation situations.

Forest: for detailed forest and outdoor scenes
Target: with stronger emphasis on heat sources
Outline: reduced display focusing on warm contours

Additionally, six color palettes are available to adjust the display according to personal preferences or environmental conditions.
AMOLED display with 1024 × 768 pixels

The integrated 0.39 inch AMOLED display offers a resolution of 1024 × 768 pixels and ensures a high-contrast and clear image display.

The eye relief is 20 mm, the exit pupil 6 mm. The diopter adjustment of ±5 dpt allows the image to be adapted to individual vision requirements.
Digital zoom, PIP and hot spot tracking

The digital zoom offers levels of 1×, 2× and 4× and allows additional magnification of selected image areas. This is complemented by a picture-in-picture function, which can additionally display a central area magnified.

The integrated hot spot tracking also helps to detect particularly warm areas within the image more quickly.
Photo, Video and Audio with 32 GB Storage

The ThermTec Cyclone 625 supports photo, video and audio recording. The internal memory with 32 GB offers enough space for numerous observation recordings.

Stored content can be played back directly on the device. Additionally, OSD recording is supported, allowing on-screen display information to be saved along with the footage.
Wi-Fi, Hotspot and App Remote Control

The integrated Wi-Fi or hotspot function allows the Cyclone 625 to connect with compatible mobile devices. This enables app remote control and other wireless features.

The USB-C port is used both for data transfer and for charging the device.
Replaceable 18650 Battery

For power supply, the Cyclone 625 uses a replaceable 18650 lithium-ion battery. Each battery provides an operating time of up to about 8 hours.

With two available batteries, the total operating time can be extended to up to about 16 hours. The swap battery system also allows for quick replacement on the go.
Only about 261 grams – ideal for mobile use

With dimensions of just 136 × 76 × 54 mm and a weight of about 261 g without battery, the ThermTec Cyclone 625 is one of the particularly compact thermal imaging devices with a 640 sensor.

The IP67 protection class protects the device against dust and water. The specified operating temperature range from -20 °C to +50 °C allows use under a wide variety of outdoor conditions.
Quick start in about three seconds

The Cyclone 625 is ready for operation within about three seconds after switching on. This allows the device to be used quickly even in spontaneous observation situations.
