The Caldwell The Rock Deluxe is a mechanical front shooting rest with a cast-iron base, independently adjustable feet, and a lockable forend rest. It’s designed for shooters who want more repeatable results when sighting in or practicing precision shooting than they can get with a loose bag.

How it performs


Cast-iron base

Limitations & how to avoid a bad purchase

This is not a shooting rest for securing a firearm unattended: The Rock Deluxe stabilizes the forend. A suitable rear support and a proper, safe shooting position are still required.
The bag must not support the barrel. Rest the firearm on the appropriate forend area, always keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction, and check before every shot that nothing is touching the trigger, magazine, or moving parts.
