Mauser Gewehr M 98, standard service rifle of the German Empire, Königlich Preußische Gewehrfabrik Spandau 1917, barrel length 73 cm, overall length 123 cm, weight 4 kg, civilian proof mark Ulm 1972, parts are not matching. The barrel and the rifle as a whole show signs of use consistent with their age, but the accuracy is good. Markings on the case head: star, crown, Spandau, 1917.
Since production in 1917 could barely meet military demand, this so-called Sterngewehr also includes parts from other subcontractors.
