If a holster is to be switched between belt, MOLLE panel, or a second carrying system, a fixed screw connection quickly becomes a time killer. The BGs QD Mounting System provides a defined quick-change interface made of Male Locking Plate (MLP) and Female Receiver Plate (FRP).

The MLP is mounted on the holster, the FRP on the respective carrier platform. For switching, the MLP is slid into the FRP and locked by two spring-loaded locking tabs. The system is therefore interesting for users who want to use a holster on several compatible mounts or regularly reconfigure their gear.
You can choose MLP and FRP individually or as a complete QD Adapter Kit. Both components are available from the manufacturer in black and Flat Dark Earth. Proper planning is important: a single component only makes sense if the matching counterpart is already available.

The BGs QD system is especially worthwhile if you actually switch. If you leave a holster permanently on a single belt, a fixed direct mount often provides the simpler solution. However, as soon as multiple belts, MOLLE platforms, or mounting heights are to be prepared, a uniform interface saves time and reduces repeated mounting work.
Technically, you have to distinguish between the holster side and the carrier side: The MLP belongs on the holster, the FRP on the belt loop, MOLLE adapter, or another compatible platform. The complete set contains both parts. For a second carrying system, usually only another FRP is needed; for an additional holster, accordingly another MLP.
The stated Safariland compatibility is clearly divided: MLP to QLS22, FRP to QLS19. Still check the exact hole pattern, screw length, and clearance on the existing holster before loading the setup.

Instructor Tip: Build switching points clearly
First mount a complete MLP-FRP pair and mark the desired holster position. Check locking and access with an empty, safely controlled setup. Only when this reference works do you retrofit additional FRP or MLP plates. This way you multiply a tested position instead of different sources of error.
