Area 419 ZERO S-Series Sizing Dies

Die Area 419 ZERO S-Series is a full-length sizing die in the common 7/8″ format for reloaders who want to size case body, shoulder, and neck in one controlled step. It is especially suited for precision-oriented loading processes where shoulder dimension and neck tension are actually measured.
Unlike simple standard dies, the S-Series combines a precisely turned sizing contour with a precision-ground expander mandrel. Each die comes with a mandrel for about 0.002″ neck tension. This is a sensible starting point but does not replace checking with your own case, bullet, and appropriate measuring tools.

Fits well – and rather not

Fits well: for experienced reloaders looking for a caliber-specific 7/8″ full-length sizing die with defined internal expansion and full sizing up to the area before the expander.

Rather not: if only partial sizing is desired, no measuring routine is in place, or a complete die set including seating die and shell holder is expected.

Check before purchase: select the cartridge exactly from the variant selection, confirm the 7/8″ press thread, and have the matching shell holder ready.

Variant selection without buying mistakes
The dies are cartridge-specific. 6 mm BR, 6 mm Dasher, 6 mm GT, and 6 mm Creedmoor are not interchangeable despite similar bullet diameters; the same applies, for example, to 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5×47 Lapua, and 6.5 PRC. The decisive factor is always the full cartridge designation on case, barrel, and load data – not just the bullet caliber.

Practical effect


Full-length sizing: sizes the case from the neck down into the lower case body and can thereby support reliable feeding and smooth bolt operation.

Internal neck sizing: the ground mandrel aligns the internal diameter after resizing and aims for reproducible neck tension.

Primer pocket uniforming: the spring-assisted ejection mechanism is intended to reduce stuck, spent primers on the ejector pin.

Shoulder relief: a hydraulic pressure relief helps avoid lubricant or hydraulic dents on the shoulder.

Limits and honest assessment
Even a high-quality die does not correct unsuitable load data, damaged cases, or incorrect setup. The delivered neck tension of about 0.002″ is not a guaranteed final value: wall thickness, brass spring effect, case condition, and bullet diameter influence the actual result. Those who do not control the additional precision with a headspace comparator, neck measurement, and clean documentation hardly exploit the added value.
The S-Series is also a single sizing die. Seating die, shell holder, and additional mandrel sizes are not automatically included.

Check shoulder dimension and case function afterward before processing a batch. Clean the die regularly; replace damaged ejector pins or worn components. Use only verified load data, safety glasses, and a disturbance-free workspace when reloading.
