Die Area 419 Tikka T1x Improved Scope Rail is a precise Picatinny base for serious small caliber setups. The choice between 15 and 30 MOA determines how much elevation adjustment the scope gets for distance – and whether the desired zero point remains safely achievable.
Which variant fits?
15 MOA: the more balanced choice for training, hunting, and medium distances when enough reserve is wanted but a short zero point remains a priority.
30 MOA: for clearly distance-oriented .22 LR setups that need a lot of elevation correction and where the scope has sufficient total adjustment range.
Fits well: Tikka T1x with compatible receiver, matching Picatinny rings, and pre-checked adjustment range.
Fits less well: Tikka T3/T3x, other action types or optics that cannot reach the desired zero point with the chosen cant.
Practical effect and limits
The cant shifts usable elevation travel toward longer distances. This is especially helpful with .22 LR because the bullet drops significantly at range. More MOA is still not automatically better: the 30 MOA variant can make a short zero point difficult if the optic’s adjustment range is tight. An angled rail does not replace ballistic data or proper zeroing.
Construction
MIL-STD-1913/Picatinny profile
7075 aluminum, Type-III hard anodized, black
optionally 15 or 30 MOA
equally long T10 Torx screws; no sorting of different screw lengths
precision-machined mounting surface for the Tikka T1x
Scope of delivery
One Area 419 Tikka T1x Improved Scope Rail in the chosen 15 or 30 MOA version, matching T10 Torx mounting screws, and T10 wrench. Scope and rings not included.
Safe mounting
Completely unload the firearm, remove magazine, and check chamber. Clean receiver and screw threads, lay the rail without tension, and tighten the supplied screws evenly to a maximum of 15 in-lb according to Area 419 specifications. Then check bolt function, free movement, ring contact, and achievable zero point. Recheck screw tightness after the first shooting sessions.
Black-Raptor classification
The rail solves a real small caliber long-range problem: it provides additional elevation reserve without relying on improvised solutions during setup. For most mixed T1x setups, 15 MOA is the safer starting point. 30 MOA is the more consistent distance choice but should only be ordered after checking zero point and optic adjustment. This variant decision prevents the most common wrong purchase.
