Convert existing Harris-S bipod to a sliding ARCA-/ARCALOCK interface
The Area 419 clamp set combines Harris adapters and ARCALOCK clamp base. A suitable Harris-S-/Swivel bipod can be slid and removed on a 1.5″ ARCA or ARCALOCK rail without having to replace the entire bipod.
Important before purchase: The kit is not a complete bipod and not a universal mount for any bipods. The key is the matching Harris-S geometry and an existing compatible rail.

Our honest assessment

The set is especially worthwhile if you want to continue using an existing, mechanically flawless Harris-S bipod and at the same time gain the flexibility of an ARCA rail. ARCALOCK adds the form-locking serration; on a normal ARCA rail, the clamp works classically by friction lock.
If you only need a fixed bipod point or want to compensate for a worn bipod, you benefit much less. The kit is an interface solution – not a repair.

Fits well if …
… you own a compatible Harris bipod of the S-/Swivel series.
… you already have a 1.5″ ARCA or
r ARCALOCK rail on the rifle is present.
… you want to adjust the bipod position for range, long range, or changing support positions.


Not suitable if …
… you use a fixed Harris model or a bipod of another design without confirmed compatibility.

… the Area-419 Barricade Stop must remain an integral part of the same setup.

What the kit practically changes


Complete conversion instead of single adapter
The set includes Harris adapters and ARCALOCK clamp base. This not only adapts the Harris geometry but directly creates the sliding ARCA/ARCALOCK interface.


ARCA remains compatible
On a standard 1.5″ ARCA rail, the clamp works friction-locked. This keeps the kit usable even without ARCALOCK serration.


ARCALOCK adds positive locking
On the matching ARCALOCK rail, the serration can further reduce clamp movement under preload.


Vary bipod position
A longer rail allows positioning the bipod further forward or closer to the system depending on the centre of gravity and shooting position. This is the real practical advantage over a fixed sling stud mount.

Limits, disadvantages, and typical mispurchases

Wrong Harris model: The set is designed for the matching S-/Swivel geometry. Similar appearance does not replace model matching.
Kit confused with bipod: The Harris bipod itself is not included.
Barricade Stop planned: Area 419 excludes combination with its own Barricade Stop for this setup.
Underestimated weight at the front end: The additional clamping system changes the balance. For very light hunting setups, the benefit should justify the weight increase.

Installation and safe use


Before conversion
Fully unload the firearm, remove the bipod, and only disassemble the existing base according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Check threads and contact surfaces for damage.


After installation
Fully close the clamp, eliminate play, and initially check the setup with moderate preload. Do not continue use if there are cracks, worn parts, or unclear model matching.

Is the ARCALOCK clamp included in the set? Yes. The kit contains Harris adapter and ARCALOCK clamp base.
Can I use normal ARCA rails? Yes. The clamp holds friction-locked there. The additional mechanical serration is only used on a matching ARCALOCK rail.
Is a Harris bipod included? No. The kit converts an existing compatible Harris S-/Swivel bipod.
Can the Area-419 Barricade Stop still be used? No. The existing Area-419 data exclude this combination for the kit.
