Honest classification This product is the system base for case neck work, not a complete sizing or seating die. The floating mandrel can align itself easily; incorrect mandrel dimensions, crooked cases, or high side forces are not compensated by the design.

What counts in practice


Captive mandrel The mandrel stays held in the case and is not simply pulled out when the case is pulled back.


Limited self-centering An O-ring allows the mandrel some play to align itself to the case neck; it does not replace a correct press axis.


Stainless steel body The dimensionally stable, corrosion-resistant base is suitable for a recurring workstation at the loading bench.


Split Lock Ring The included locking ring fixes the adjustme

Limits and Avoiding Bad Purchases
Caliber designation alone is not enough: the decisive factor is the specific mandrel size for the planned expander or neck turning step. A mandrel that is too large can overstress the neck. The case accepts mandrels up to .338; .35–.50 require the other case size. Never force resistance by using a longer press lever.

Insert the case stress-free into the 7/8″-14 thread and secure it with the Split Lock Ring.
First, slowly work on a discarded case; watch for free movement and unusual resistance.
Measure the result and perform a visual inspection. Only then proceed with a consistent process in series production.

Is this a full-length resizing die? No. The product holds and guides a mandrel; the case body and shoulder are not fully resized by this. What is the benefit of the floating guide?
