Check compatibility before purchase
The jags for .17 and .20 have a 5-40 thread. The other sizes use 8-32. Therefore, check the internal thread of your cleaning rod or adapter. The set fits many common cleaning rods but is not automatically compatible with every proprietary cleaning system.
Choose jag and patch matching the actual barrel caliber. An oversized or too thick setup can jam in the barrel; never push further with force.

Safe use
Before starting, unload the firearm completely, remove ammunition from the work area, and check the condition of the cartridge chamber and barrel. If design and manufacturer instructions allow, work preferably from the chamber to the muzzle. Use only suitable, clean patches and guide the cleaning rod straight to avoid damaging the crown and rifling.
