Long and large dimensioned cases with matching collet and pilot guide
The Classic case trimmer kit is designed for cases from 1 7/8″ to 4 1/8″. Collets 5, 6, and 7 as well as pilots .458, .505, and .510 are included; many other cartridges require additional, precisely matched system parts.

Features and practical benefits


Classic geometry The long base creates space for cases that are too long or large for the standard trimmer.


Centering collets The cases are guided at the base by the matching Classic collet. Numbers 1 to 4 of the original trimmer are not directly interchangeable.


Three large pilots .458, .505, and .510 are included. The pilot must fit the actual case neck and must never be forced.


Manual control Crank and fine adjustment support clean cuts. Final dimension and deburring remain separate checks.


Limits, disadvantages, and avoiding bad purchases
The statement "more than 300 cartridges" describes the expandable Classic platform, not the immediate scope of delivery of this kit. Many cartridges require other pilots or collets. Short cases need a standard base. The tool does not trim, measure, or deburr automatically.

FORSTER Classic Case Trimmer with Classic base, cutting shaft and hand crank; collets CT2005, CT2006 and CT2007; pilots CT1458, CT1505 and CT1510. Caliper, deburring tool and other caliber-specific parts are not included.
Use, safety and care

Only process empty, cleaned and inspected cases.
Fully match FORSTER table for case, collet and pilot.
Secure trimmer firmly, clamp case concentrically and without force.
Set reference case to durable target dimension and measure closely.
Deburr inside and outside after trimming, remove chips and store tool dry.

Does the kit process over 300 cartridges immediately? No. The platform is expandable; many cartridges require additional pilots or collets. Which collets are included? The Classic collets 5, 6 and 7. Which pilots are included? Sizes .458, .505 and .510. Can I trim short standard cases? Under 1 7/8″ a different standard-length base is needed. Are original trimmer collets 1 to 4 compatible? They are not directly interchangeable with the Classic collets. Does the device deburr automatically? No, the case mouth must be processed separately afterwards.
Black-Raptor classification A special kit for long and large cases, not the all-purpose universal trimmer. Those who check the FORSTER assignment carefully get a stable manual platform; standard caliber users otherwise buy unnecessarily large.
