Buying advice and usage limits
The FG-645 makes sense if several pistols in the .22 to .45 range are to be maintained with a compact system. Before each use, check brush size, thread, and access direction for the specific firearm. The set is not a rigid cleaning rod system, not a caliber measuring tool, and not a substitute for professional repair. The Obstruction Remover is intended for loose foreign objects; do not use force with stuck bullets, damaged barrels, or unclear blockages, but consult a professional workshop.

Safe workflow

Fully unload the firearm; remove magazine, ammunition, and other cartridges from the work area.
Disassemble the firearm according to the manufacturer’s instructions and check barrel access and suitable brush.
Securely mount patch or brush. Guide cable without kinks from chamber to muzzle and pull evenly through.
Change soiled patches; do not force brushes dry through a tight spot.
Use CLP sparingly and only at locations specified by the firearm manufacturer. Remove excess.
Before reassembly, check that barrel and chamber are free, dry enough, and without leftover parts.

Ensure good ventilation while cleaning, avoid skin contact with residues and chemicals, and wash hands afterward.
