The larger adjustment range and the second accessory interface recommend this version for frequently changing firearms and more extensive maintenance or assembly work.
Work safely and avoid bad purchases
The rubberized feet of both versions improve stability on a clean, flat workbench. The frame is a maintenance and cleaning rest, not a machine vise or clamp for high torque, barrel changes, or other force-intensive gunsmithing work. Before starting, unload the firearm completely, remove ammunition from the work area, and check the secure fit. Check sensitive surfaces for dirt or foreign objects before clamping, despite protective pads.
