Thanks to its composite construction, the rifle offers excellent handling and ergonomics. The Zoom cheekpiece can be quickly and easily adjusted for height at the touch of a button. The button is positioned so that the sight line can be precisely adjusted even while shouldered. Interchangeable butt pads are also available to adjust the stock length, allowing tool-free customization to suit the shooter's needs.

The Jaeger NXT also features extra-grippy soft-touch inserts that stand up to all weather conditions. The new fore-end geometry also makes the rifle easy to grip and rest.

A milled Picatinny rail makes it easy to mount an optic and return it to zero. The i-Sight sighting system also offers two options for hunting use: with or without sights. Without sights, the muzzle can be used with an M15x1 thread to fit a suppressor or muzzle brake.

This version also features a straight-pull torsion bolt that stands out for its excellent ergonomics. The Kickdown bolt handle moves the bolt linearly while rotating and locking the bolt in the barrel. In the final step, the bolt handle tensions the action in the front third of its travel, readying the rifle to fire.

A bolt lock provides safety. A slider lets you choose between three positions:
safe unloading position, with the action uncocked (left)
red firing position (center)
safety position, which blocks the bolt handle (right)

Composite stock approaches a custom fit

The shooter adjusts the stock themselves in several steps. Stock length is optimized before the hunt. Depending on arm length or clothing thickness, optional butt pads can be fitted without tools to shorten the stock by 7 millimeters or lengthen it by 5 millimeters.

The second step is adjusting the dynamic cheekpiece to the sight line. In the field, this is done at the touch of a button to suit the scope, driven-hunt scope or, for tracking, the rear and front sights. Adjustment is quick and easy with a fingertip. This solution allows the height to be adjusted while looking through the sight line. Pressing the button on the right releases the catch, and the stock extends with spring assistance.

Fore-end for a secure grip

Finger grooves, soft-touch inserts molded into the palm area and a tapered fore-end provide a secure, personalized grip. Wherever the shooter instinctively grips it, the fore-end offers a secure hold for all hand sizes. The stock material is reinforced underneath to allow system-compatible additions, such as a bipod adapter or Picatinny rails. Different mounts can be securely screwed into place here.

Pistol grip optimized for the Kickdown bolt handle

The stock's steep pistol grip is optimized for the Jaeger NXT's Kickdown bolt handle. This control is central to the torsion bolt developed for this rifle, as it serves as both the cocking lever and the bolt handle for cycling the action.
