Hornady InterLock RN Bullets 6.5 mm/.264 160 gr | 100 pieces Item 2640

Heavy round nose bullet for reliable hunting penetration depth InterLock ring, soft point tip and controlled expansion The Hornady InterLock RN bullets in caliber 6.5 mm/.264 with 160 grain are classic hunting bullets for reloaders who prioritize high sectional density, controlled expansion, and reliable penetration depth. The bullet weight of 10.37 grams supports high momentum and stable penetration, especially for hunting applications at short to medium ranges. The round bullet profile with exposed lead tip initiates controlled deformation upon impact and ensures effective energy transfer. The stepped bullet jacket controls expansion behavior at different impact velocities. A central design feature is the raised InterLock ring, anchored in the one-piece lead core, mechanically connecting jacket and core during expansion. This supports mass retention, structural stability, and penetration depth. The integrated crimp groove allows uniform bullet fixation in the case and contributes to reproducible loadings. Due to the round nose profile, the ballistic focus is less on maximum range and more on reliable terminal performance and stable function in classic 6.5 mm hunting cartridges. The package contains 100 bullets; the indicated bulk packaging includes 1,500 pieces. These are bullet components for reloading only and not ready-to-shoot cartridges. Reloading data must be taken exclusively from verified manufacturer documentation.
