VFG Barrel Cleaner Comfort – caliber-appropriate cleaning felts for regular barrel care The Comfort felts are the right choice for normal fouling, control patches, and ongoing care after training or hunting. The crucial factor is not the pack size, but first the exactly matching caliber variant.

Our honest buying advice


Fits well For regular standard cleaning, dry control patches, applying suitable care products, and as follow-up after more intensive cleaning. Useful when caliber and existing cleaning tools are clearly defined.


Fits less well For stubborn deposits, when the VFG Intensive version is actually needed, or when caliber, adapter, or cleaning rod are still unclear. An "approximately fitting" felt is not a good solution.


What the selection practically means


Caliber first Too small felts have too little contact with the barrel surface. Too large felts should never be forced through the barrel. Therefore, choose exactly the caliber group offered in Shopify.


Comfort instead of Intensive Comfort is intended for ongoing care and normal residues. For heavier fouling, the Intensive variant is the more suitable level; Comfort is then good for control and finishing patches.


Pack size matching consumption Depending on caliber, different quantities are available. Those who clean regularly save
with the larger pack for reorders; for rare use, the smaller unit is usually sufficient.


System instead of individual part The felts are consumables. For use, you additionally need a cleaning rod or adapter matching the caliber and felt; these components are not included in this pack.


Limits, disadvantages & avoiding bad purchases

Not universal: A Comfort felt neither replaces the suitable Intensive variant for heavy deposits nor mechanically matching cleaning tools.
Important: Do not push further if there is unusually high resistance. Check caliber, felt size, adapter, and barrel condition. Before and after maintenance, the firearm must be completely unloaded; barrel and chamber must be free of cleaning material before later use.

Safe use
Work only on fully unloaded firearms. Use a suitable cleaning rod and matching adapter, do not force felts through tight spots, and check after cleaning that barrel and chamber are free. In case of doubt, follow the instructions of the firearm and cleaning accessory manufacturer.

When do I use Comfort instead of Intensive? Comfort is suitable for regular maintenance, normal residues, and control grooves. For stubborn dirt, the Intensive version is the more sensible first step. How do I choose the right variant? First select according to the actual caliber or barrel dimension, then the desired pack size. Do not infer your variant from a neighboring size. Are cleaning rods or adapters included?
