AIM FT-100 Raincover
Custom-fit weather protection for the FT-100 – without making the bag inaccessible The raincover lays a light weather layer over the AIM FT-100 and keeps the main compartment accessible via a large Velcro opening. It protects against rain and dirt from the outside but does not provide padding or weapon fixation.
Our honest assessment
The practical advantage over an improvised tarp is the model-specific shape with intended access. On the Field Target course, the FT-100 can remain covered while the rifle is taken out or stored.
The limit is clear: The raincover neither replaces the bag nor a hard case. Shock protection, padding, and fixation remain the tasks of the FT-100.
Fits well / Fits rather not
Fits well if … you already use an AIM FT-100, regularly train in variable weather, and want to keep bag access quickly reachable despite the cover.
Fits rather not if … you own a different bag model, are looking for a universal cover, or additional shock or hard shell protection is your actual need.
Compatibility and application
Confirmed counterpart: AIM FT-100 Field Target Bag.
Access: large Velcro opening over the bag access.
Weather limit: AIM describes the material as waterproof. There is no separate waterproofness statement for an open Velcro opening in the available product data; therefore, close it completely during transport.
Care: separate wet cover from the bag after use and let both parts dry completely.
Features with practical benefits
420D Nylon Light
e, compact weather layer designed to keep rain and dirt off the outside of the FT-100.
Large Velcro opening Allows access to the underlying pocket without having to remove the entire cover each time.
Approx. 180 g Light enough to be carried permanently as a weather protection reserve in an outer pocket.
Small packed size Convenient when the cover is stored ready to hand instead of deep under other range gear.
Limits, disadvantages and avoiding bad purchases
Similar bag length as a fit proof: false. The cover is designed for the FT-100.
Raincover confused with transport bag: It has no padding or weapon fixation of its own.
Leaving Velcro opening open in continuous rain: Existing data does not confirm separate waterproofing of an open access area.
Storing wet: Avoid trapped moisture between cover and bag.

FAQ For which bag is the cover intended? For the AIM FT-100 Field Target Bag. A universal fit for other bags is not confirmed. Is the rifle accessible with the cover mounted? Yes. The large Velcro opening allows access to the underlying bag. Does the cover replace the padding of the FT-100? No. Padding and fixation remain functions of the rifle bag. How should the cover be stored after rain? Dry completely separate from the bag and only then store compactly again. Is the opened Velcro opening just as waterproof? There is no separate statement in the available product data. For transport in rain, close the opening completely.
Black Raptor Buying advice
Targeted FT-100 weather protection instead of universal cover The raincover makes sense if the FT-100 is already part of the setup and weather protection without complete loss of access is required. It is not the right solution for other bags or additional shock protection.
