Spuhr Gen3 · 34 mm · 6 MIL
SP-4602C: high Gen3 mount for 34 mm scopes 38 mm axis height, 6 MIL / 20.6 MOA tilt and the roomier Gen3 ring geometry make the SP-4602C a clear long-range solution – but only if rail angle, zero stop, and barrel contour match.
Suitability and Unsuitability
Fits well if … … your scope has a 34 mm main tube, 38 mm sight height fits ergonomically, and an additional 6 MIL makes sense in the available height adjustment.
… a long, continuous rail is present and a fixed block mount without cantilever is desired.
Fits less well if … … you need QD, cantilever, two-piece bases, or a lower sight line.
… your rail is already strongly tilted or the desired close zero is just barely within the adjustment range.
Limits / Avoid-buy block: 6 MIL do not increase the mechanical total travel of the scope. They only shift its position. With an already tilted rail, the angle adds up. Also, the scope axis slopes forward, so the actual objective clearance can be less than the rear 38 mm value suggests.
Features with practical benefits
Gen3 ring space 66 mm free space between the ring areas and 32 mm ring width create more room for many modern 34 mm scopes. Both clamping surfaces still have to be fulle
lständig auf geraden barrelzonen sitzen.
6 MIL / 20.6 MOA Useful when the distance range requires additional elevation in shooting direction. Check rail inclination and actual adjustment range including zero-stop beforehand.
38 mm height Helps with large objectives, straight chassis, and front technology. On low hunting stocks, a higher cheek rest may be necessary.
Fixed mount The SP-4602C is not a quick-detach mount. It is better suited for permanently assembled systems than for frequent removal and reattachment.
Technical data with practical interpretation
Model / barrel SP-4602C Gen3 · 34 mm. Other barrel diameters require a different mount.
Height / inclination 38 mm rear · 6 MIL / 20.6 MOA. Always consider total inclination including weapon rail.
Interface MIL-STD-1913 / STANAG 4694, fixed screw clamp. Not for two-piece rails; SAKO S20 excluded according to manufacturer information.
Dimensions 120 mm body length, 130 mm total length, 255 g. Compact block solution without cantilever.
Material 7000 series aluminum, hard anodized, integrated bubble level and Spuhr interfaces.
Torque values Rail clamp screws 5 Nm; ring screws 2.0 Nm or lower approved optics manufacturer value.
Scope of delivery
1 × Spuhr SP-4602C Gen3, 1 × 10° leveling wedge with screw length gauge, 1 × manufacturer manual. Scope, rail, front device, and torque tool not included.
FAQ
Is the SP-4602C a QD mount? No. It is firmly screwed onto the rail. Does every 34 mm scope fit? Not automatically. The ring zones must be straight and freely accessible; height, objective clearance, and eye relief must also fit. When is a 0 MIL or 3 MIL version more useful? When the existing rail already has sufficient inclination or you want more adjustment reserve for the close zero point. Is 38 mm constant over the entire length? No. With inclined mounting, the axis drops forward relative to the rail.
Black Raptor · honestly classified
The SP-4602C is strong when 34 mm barrel, high sight line, and 6 MIL fit the overall system mathematically. Those who choose only by "more MOA" risk an unnecessarily tight close zero point. Therefore, consider rail, optic, and stock together first.
