LPA TRT · BO-MAR BMCS · Fiber Rear Sight
TRT54FUFO: adjustable target rear sight with fiber optics for quick contrast The TRT54FUFO combines a micrometrically adjustable rear sight with a fiber reference on the rear sight. The fiber rod uses available ambient light – it is neither tritium nor a self-illuminating night sight.
Purchase-critical: The rear sight is designed for the confirmed BO-MAR BMCS mount and is delivered without front sight.

Our honest assessment
The fiber version is interesting if the rear sight should catch the eye faster under daylight and indoor lighting. The advantage decreases with diminishing ambient light. Mechanically, the milling remains more important than the optical variant: A bright fiber dot does not make an incompatible mount compatible.
Fits well if … / Fits less well if …

Fits well if … … your slide has the confirmed BO-MAR BMCS mount.
… you want a clearly visible rear reference with available ambient light.
… a suitable front sight is present or selected separately.

Fits less well if … … you expect a genuine self-illuminating night sight.
… you are looking for a complete rear sight and front sight set.
… milling, front sight height, or system geometry are not clearly defined.

Features and practical effect

Fiber Optics The fiber insert collects available light and thus increases visual contrast. Without ambient light, no self-illumination occurs.

Micrometric Adjustment Height and windage can be corrected in a controlled manner. A clean basic mounting with matching front sight height remains a prerequisite.

BO-MAR BMCS Interface The specific cut is ent
scheidend. Bo-Mar-like cuts or reworked slides are not automatically compatible.

Rear sight without front sight The front sight is not part of the SKU. Height and shape must fit separately to the rear sight and the available adjustment range.

Limits, disadvantages and typical bad purchases

Fiber is not tritium: In darkness without incident light, the brightness advantage largely disappears.
Another bad purchase occurs when "fiber optic" is understood as a complete sight set. This SKU is the rear sight without front sight.
The mechanical fit to the BO-MAR-BMCS mount and the correct front sight height must be checked before any optical preference.

Technical data with practical interpretation

Manufacturer / Series LPA Sights · TRT Target series.

Manufacturer code TRT54FUFO. More important for fit verification than a general series designation.

Product type Micrometrically adjustable pistol rear sight.

Confirmed mount BO-MAR-BMCS cut.

Sight picture Fiber optic on the rear sight; uses ambient light and does not illuminate itself.

Front sight Not included; check separately or existing front sight for fit.

Scope of delivery
1 × LPA TRT54FUFO Target match rear sight with fiber optic. One front sight, firearm, ammunition and mounting tools are not part of this SKU.
Safe use and inspection
Mount only on a fully unloaded system and according to firearm and sight manufacturer instructions. Do not soak fiber rod and adjustment mechanism with aggressive solvents. If the cut is unclear, resistance is noticeable, or the slide has already been reworked, have it professionally checked.
FAQ
Is a front sight included? No. The TRT54FUFO is a rear sight without front sight. Does the fiber optic glow in the dark? No. It uses available ambient light and does not produce its own light. Does every Bo-Mar-like cut fit? No. The confirmed BO-MAR-BMCS geometry is decisive. Can the adjustment compensate for an incorrect front sight height? Only within the mechanical adjustment range. A significantly mismatched front sight height remains a system error.
Black Raptor · Properly classify fiber
TRT54FUFO fits if you are looking for a BO-MAR-BMCS rear sight with a better visible rear reference in available light. For true night glow capability or a complete rear sight-front sight set, this version is not the right choice.
