LPA SPR45CT18 · Colt M1911A1 · White Outline More contour in the open sight – without diluting the mechanical fit The SPR45CT18 is a micrometrically adjustable LPA sight set for the Colt M1911A1. The White Outline version visually highlights the rear sight contour, while rear sight and front sight work together as a matched set.
White Outline changes perception, not the interface: The specific rear sight cut must still fit the SPR45CT18.

Our honest assessment

This variant makes sense if a purely black match picture offers too little orientation, but you don’t want a fiber or self-illuminating solution. The white outline can be perceived faster against changing backgrounds but does not replace a clean front sight–rear sight alignment.
LPA code: SPR45CT18. Shopify / supplier SKU: 8060641.

Fits well if … / Fits less well if …

Fits well if … you own a Colt M1911A1 with the matching mount, are looking for a finely adjustable open sight, and want the rear sight contour to stand out visually more.

Fits less well if … you expect fiber/tritium highlighting, your slide has a different cut or an optics-ready milling, or you assume fit just because of the general “1911” designation.

Compatibility and variant selection

Confirmed: Colt M1911A1 with sight mount matching the SKU.
White Outline: white contrast contour on the rear sight; no self-illuminating system.
Set geometry: rear sight and front sight belong together and should not be combined with other heights without documented approval.

Features with practical effect

Micrometer adjustment Point of impact correction in height and windage after proper basic mounting.

White Outline The contour facilitates orientation,
especially when a purely black rear sight image has little contrast against the background.

Matched height pair rear sight and front sight create a defined baseline for the adjustment range.

Model-specific cut No universal fit for every 1911 version.

Limits, disadvantages and bad purchases

White Outline is not a red dot sight: It remains a contrasting marking.
Similar cut is no proof: Don’t force it to fit.
Don’t mistake the outline for an aiming point: For precise alignment, the front/rear sight top edges and light gaps remain decisive.
Don’t over-adjust: Stop means check, don’t turn further.

Installation and safe use

Install only on a fully unloaded firearm. Check cut, pressing direction and contact surfaces according to LPA/firearm manufacturer specifications. If unclear fit or unusually high resistance, choose professional installation.
After installation, check fit, zero in groups with consistent ammunition and change only one adjustment axis per correction step.
