LPA SPL15WA · Walther P99 / PPQ / PPQ M2 Luminova Sight Set for Walther P99, PPQ and PPQ M2 – Caliber .22 explicitly excluded The SPL15WA does not universally fit every pistol with P99 or PPQ markings. Confirmed are Walther P99, PPQ, and PPQ M2 with the matching sight mount; the manufacturer assignment explicitly excludes caliber .22. This exact limit is critical for purchase.

Our honest assessment

If you own a compatible P99/PPQ/PPQ-M2 version and are looking for a low-profile, finely adjustable sight with rechargeable Luminova markings, SPL15WA makes sense. The set is less useful if the pistol is in caliber .22, has a different optics-ready mount, or has already been mechanically modified.
Luminova is deliberately low-maintenance and non-radioactive but requires prior light excitation. The afterglow then fades.

Fits well / Fits rather not

Fits well if … your Walther P99, PPQ, or PPQ M2 has the matching standard sight mount, is not in caliber .22, and you want to finely adjust point of impact in height and windage.

Fits rather not if … you have a .22 version, a different slide revision or another mount, or are looking for a permanently self-luminous sight without light excitation.

Compatibility and avoiding bad purchases

Manufacturer code: SPL15WA. Confirmed models: Walther P99, PPQ, and PPQ M2. NO Cal.22 is part of the manufacturer assignment and must not be treated as a minor detail.
For model families with different slides or factory sights: check weapon name and caliber together. A .
22 variant can have a different technical counterpart despite a similar external shape.

Features with practical effect

Height and windage adjustable The click adjustment allows targeted corrections after cleanly shot groups. Don’t “click away” single outliers, but first assess the average point of impact.

Luminova markings After light excitation, a clearly visible glow effect appears. The brightness is limited in time; Luminova does not replace a permanently self-luminous tritium solution.

Rear sight and front sight as a system SPL15WA is supplied as a set. The common sight height is part of the function; unchecked mixing with other front sight heights can shift the adjustment range.

Flat contour The SPL design remains compact. After mounting, still check holster clearance, secure fit, and free slide function.

Limits, disadvantages and typical bad purchases

.22 is excluded A Walther PPQ or P99 in .22 must not be treated as compatible just because of the model name. This version is excluded from the confirmed SPL15WA assignment.

Optics Ready must be checked separately Different slides or subsequent modifications can change the factory mount. The model family alone is then not sufficient.

Luminova needs preparation Without prior light excitation, the desired afterglow effect is missing. Anyone expecting an immediately available permanent light source should choose differently.

No force-mounting project If there is noticeable resistance, do not file or hammer until it fits. The mount must first clearly fit the sighting.

Mounting and safe use

Mount only on a fully unloaded weapon and according to Walther/LPA instructions. Check caliber, slide version, and sight mount before installation. No uncontrolled hammer blows and no material removal by eye measurement.
After mounting, first check firm fit and free function. Use consistent ammunition and a defined distance for zeroing; first evaluate the group, then correct one axis at a time.

FAQ
Does SPL15WA fit Walther PPQ in caliber .22? No. The manufacturer assignment explicitly excludes caliber .22. Does the set fit P99, PPQ, and PPQ M2? Yes, provided the specific weapon has the matching factory sight mount. Different or modified slides must be checked separately. Is Luminova permanently self-luminous? No. The markings are charged with light and then glow for a limited time. Can another front sight be reused? Only if height and geometry demonstrably fit. The SPL15WA is supplied as a matched set, so rear sight and front sight together form the secure baseline.

Black Raptor · Avoid bad purchases With SPL15WA, the caliber explicitly decides alongside the mount. P99, PPQ, or PPQ M2 in the matching system: yes. .22: no. This clear separation is more important than any marketing wording about the glow pattern.
