Adjustable fiber optic sight set for Rock Island 1911 / Armscor The LPA SPF21RU is officially assigned by LPA for Rock Island 1911 / Armscor. The previous assignment to Ruger Mark IV was incorrect. Rear sight and front sight form a matched fiber optic sight set.

Our honest assessment
The manufacturer code SPF21RU is the most reliable purchase anchor here. It belongs to the Rock Island / Armscor 1911 mount. The set is suitable if you are looking for a compact, micrometrically adjustable fiber optic solution and the existing mount fits the LPA assignment unchanged.
Fits well / rather does not fit

Fits well if …
You use a Rock Island 1911 / Armscor with a matching sight mount.
You want to replace rear sight and front sight together.
You prefer fiber optics for well-lit environments.

Rather does not fit if …
You want to equip a Ruger Mark IV.
Your slide has a different custom or OR cut.
You expect a self-illuminating night sight.

Features and practical benefits

Fiber Optic The light guides increase visual conspicuity in available light. Without ambient light, no self-illumination occurs.

Rear sight + Front sight Both components belong together as a height pair. This reduces the risk of losing adjustment range due to an unsuitable front sight height.

Micrometric correction Height and windage can be adjusted precisely; a wrong mechanical mount cannot be compensated this way.

Platform-specific assignment SPF21RU is not a generic 1911 set. Rock Island / Armscor mount and actual cut must match.

Limits, disadvantages and mispurchase block

Not for Ruger Mark IV.
No universal fit for all 1911 cuts.
Fiber optic requires ambient light.
Already milled or modified slides must be checked separately.
