What the self-centering handle actually changes

It self-centers in the upper and aligns the integrated, black-oxide steel shaft with the barrel extension lugs. The benefit lies less in high force than in repeatable guidance. The scraper is shaped for barrel extension and inner chamber surfaces. The AR15 chamber brush then reaches the corners. Workflow: Scraper, brush, pad

Unload the weapon completely, remove the magazine, visually and tactilely check the cartridge chamber, and remove ammunition from the work area.
Open the AR15 according to its instructions and prepare for chamber cleaning. Use the Pivot Lock only in the opening position specified by the manufacturer.
Use the precision scraper to loosen firmly stuck deposits on accessible surfaces of the barrel extension. Turn the handle, do not wedge or lever sideways.
Store the scraper in the handle, insert the chamber brush, and work out the corners with controlled turning movements.
Finally, insert a clean star chamber pad and pick up loosened dirt. If necessary, check with a fresh pad instead of redistributing dirt.
Check tool and chamber for residues. Before closing the weapon, ensure no pad, fiber, or tool part remains; then perform the prescribed function check.

The Pivot Lock is a positioning aid, not an additional mechanical safety. The safety rules and instructions of the specific AR15 remain decisive. Resistance on the tool is resolved by realigning, not by applying more torque.
