Caliber-specific barrel brush – choosing the variant is more important than the product name The Bore-Max Speed Brush works with dense loading of nickel-plated phosphor bronze and is intended as a single, caliber-specific component of the cleaning system. This offer includes rifle, handgun, and shotgun variants; therefore, the correct choice is decisive for the purchase.
Important: Brush size and weapon type must match the specific barrel bore. Similar numbers are not proof of compatibility.

Our honest assessment
The brush is a good individual addition to an existing cleaning setup. It mechanically removes carbon but does not replace a cleaning rod, jag/patches, or suitable cleaning chemicals. The most common wrong purchase here is not due to brush quality but due to an incorrectly selected caliber/weapon variant.

9 mm / .380 Shopify SKU 100047678 is assigned via Brownells to the manufacturer code AVBMSB9MM. The official Real-Avid designation is .380 CAL / 9MM – not .375.

High bristle density Real Avid states double the bristle density compared to standard brushes to create more contact surface per pass.
