Why roll pin punches work differently
A roll pin is hollow and springs radially. The small centering tip of a roll pin punch fits into this opening while the shoulder bears on the edge. This lets you guide the tool straighter than a flat standard punch. The prerequisite remains that diameter, pin type, and working direction really match.
The set covers nine inch sizes: 1/16, 5/64, 3/32, 1/8, 9/64, 5/32, 3/16, 7/32, and 1/4 inch. The hexagonal handles are meant to prevent rolling away; rubber O-rings improve grip control. The Pin Alignment Tool is meant for placing small pins before the actual punch takes over. It keeps fingers and improvised pliers out of the direct striking area. A non-marking finishing punch supports the last step on sensitive surfaces. The standing case keeps sizes visible and prevents accidentally choosing a similar-looking punch.
