Real Avid · ACCU-GRIP · 5 Steel Picks
Ten contours for stubborn detail work – but not for every surface The ACCU-GRIP set includes five double-sided stainless steel picks with ten working shapes. It is designed for tough metal areas where carbon and dirt remain in grooves, edges, or hard-to-reach spots after normal cleaning.
Important: Steel is more effective than plastic but increases the risk of scratching. The set is not intended for the inside of barrels nor as a lever or striking tool.

Our honest assessment
The set makes sense when plastic picks are too soft for stuck deposits. The real advantage is not "more hardness," but the selection of the right contour: hooks for grooves, wide scrapers for surfaces, and rounded shapes for guided cloth work. Those who mainly care for sensitive or coated surfaces should stick to plastic tools first.

Works well if … … stubborn deposits on robust metal parts, edges, and grooves need to be specifically removed and plastic picks are not enough.

Less suitable if … … sensitive coatings, polished/soft surfaces, barrel interiors, or work involving leverage are the focus.

Features with practical impact

10 working contours Different tips reduce improvised tools and help apply force to the appropriate contact area.

Full-tang construction Stable for controlled detail work; still not intended for levering, driving out, or twisting.

Sof
t-Touch grips support short, measured movements and secure grip instead of jerky scraping.

Stainless steel Durable and effective, but more surface-sensitive than plastic – material compatibility remains part of the application.

Limits, disadvantages & avoiding bad purchases
Do not scratch barrel or cartridge chamber. Test coated, polished, or soft surfaces first in an inconspicuous spot. Stop immediately if visible marks, slipping, or bending tip occur. The set does not replace suitable cleaning chemicals, brushes, or patches.
Technical data with practical interpretation

Tools 5 double-sided picks with a total of 10 contours – selection based on geometry instead of universal tip.

Material Stainless steel; robust but not automatically suitable for every surface.

Construction Full-tang steel body with textured soft-touch grip for controlled manual work.

Manufacturer ID AVAGSPS – discreet for clear product identification.

Safe use
Only work on unloaded and disassembled components according to manufacturer instructions. Remove deposits with the matching contour and as flat an angle as possible, do not remove material. Remove loosened particles immediately. For sensitive surfaces, choose a softer tool first and test compatibility.
Scope of delivery
5 × double-sided ACCU-GRIP steel picks with a total of 10 contours. Cleaning agents, brushes, patches, and safety glasses are not included.
FAQ
Why five tools but ten tips? Each pick has its own working contour at both ends. Can I use the picks on coated parts? Only after surface testing and careful trial. When in doubt, use a plastic tool first. Are the steel picks intended for the barrel? No. Caliber-appropriate brushes, jags, and patches are intended for the barrel interior. How much pressure is right? Only light, controlled pressure. If that’s not enough, let cleaning chemicals work or choose a more suitable contour.

Black Raptor · effective with material sensitivity
Very useful for stubborn detailed work on robust metal areas. The added value comes from the matching contour and controlled guidance – not from maximum force.
