Real Avid ACCU-GRIP pick and brush set: twelve profiles for tight problem spots Six double-sided tools bring eight pick profiles and four different brushes to places that are hard to reach with a patch or large brush.
The set is a supplement, not a complete cleaner. It removes detailed dirt in grooves, corners, and edges – barrel cleaning, disassembly, and lever work remain other tasks.
Quick check and classification
The pick ends differ in point, hook, angle, and flatter scraping profiles. In addition, there are nylon, narrow phosphor bronze, angled phosphor bronze, and hybrid brushes. Triangular ACCU-GRIP handles fit securely in the hand and are less likely to roll off the table.
Works well if … … your basic cleaning is done and you want to specifically rework grooves, inner edges, and small contact surfaces.
Less suitable if … … you expect a cleaning rod, barrel brushes, chemicals, or an assembly/lever tool.
Features and practical effect
Eight pick profiles Different geometries allow adapting the tool shape to the contour instead of applying more pressure everywhere with a single tip.
Nylon brush The most sensible first stage on many detailed surfaces when you want to work as gently on the material as possible at first.
P
phosphor bronze variants narrow and angled for more stubborn residues and hard-to-reach spots – only use on surfaces suitable for this purpose.
Hybrid brush combines nylon and phosphor bronze; according to Real Avid, the design reduces excessive spreading of the bristles.
Avoid limits and bad purchases
Pick is not the same as lever. The profiles are for cleaning, not for driving out pins, tensioning springs, or prying stuck parts. When the coating is unknown, start with the gentlest suitable material and do not use phosphor bronze without testing.
Technical data with practical interpretation
Scope 6 double-sided tools = 12 working profiles. Lots of options with minimal space requirement.
Picks 8 different shapes for controlled work on varying geometries.
Brushes nylon, narrow phosphor bronze, angled phosphor bronze, and nylon/bronze hybrid.
Identification manufacturer model AVPBS; tool body made of engineering resin.
Scope of delivery
6 × double-sided ACCU-GRIP tools with a total of 8 pick profiles and 4 brushes. Cleaning chemicals, patches, cleaning rods, bore brushes, and storage box are not included.
FAQ
How many working profiles are included? Twelve: eight picks and four brushes on six double-sided tools. Are the picks made of steel? No. This AVPBS set uses tool bodies made of engineering resin; the separately offered steel picks are a different product. Can the set clean the barrel? It does not replace a caliber-specific bore brush or cleaning rod. Its focus is on accessible detail areas. May the hooks be used for prying? No. The profiles are cleaning tools, not assembly levers.
Black Raptor · honestly classified
The ACCU-GRIP set is strong for the last 10 percent of cleaning, where coarse tools don’t clean well. If you want a complete bore or platform cleaning system, you also need the appropriate basic tools.
