Real Avid SMART-TORQ Master Set: separate pre-tightening and final torque consciously The AVSTDMS combines Smart Drive for normal screwing with Smart-Torq for controlled final tightening from 10 to 70 in-lb. It also includes 83 bits and Force Assist. The key point: The adjustable range of the tool is not a torque recommendation for your assembly.

Practical Tips


First Smart Drive, then Smart-Torq Cleanly position and pre-tighten the screw; use the torque driver only for the final tightening.


Bit must fully engage Especially with slotted screws, choose width and thickness accordingly. An almost fitting bit quickly damages the screw head.
