Remington 700 · 1/4 Inch · Special Bit
Fix It Sticks Remington 700 Bolt Opener: Special Tool for the Right Bolt The compact bolt opener is designed for Remington 700 bolts and similarly constructed systems. It uses a 1/4-inch hex base and lifts the firing pin head via the designated contour.
Important before purchase: “similar design” is not a blanket compatibility approval. For non-Remington systems, check the actual geometry in advance.

Our honest assessment
This is not a general bit set, but a very specific system adapter. That’s exactly why it’s practical for suitable Remington 700 applications and quickly a bad buy for other platforms.

Fits well if … … you service a Remington 700 bolt or a clearly compatible design.
… you already use a 1/4-inch driver.
… you want a compact special tool instead of a larger device.

Probably doesn’t fit if … … your bolt only looks similar visually.
… you expect a complete bolt service kit.
… you don’t have a suitable 1/4-inch driver.

Features and practical benefits

Remington 700 reference The available product data explicitly names Remington 700 as the target platform. Other manufacturers only if the design is actually identical or compatible.

1/4-inch hex base The metal base fits into 1/4-inch drivers according to the data sheet and can thus be integrated into existing modular toolkits.

Polymer bushing The molded synthetic insert is meant to protect the contact area on the bolt plug.
This is a clear difference from improvised metal-on-metal solutions.

Compact special function The tool is designed for a narrowly defined work step and saves space compared to a large universal set.

Avoid limits and bad purchases

Don’t guess compatibility: The data set confirms Remington 700 and mentions similar designs. That doesn’t mean every Remington clone or every bolt-action rifle automatically fits.
The 1/4-inch driver itself is not part of the confirmed scope of delivery.

Technical data with practical interpretation

Platform Remington 700; other systems only with actually compatible bolt design.

Tool mount Metal 1/4-inch hex base for standard 1/4-inch driver.

Protective component Molded synthetic polymer bushing at the contact area.

Version Variant “Remington”; no further model or size selection in this listing.

Scope of delivery
Confirmed is a Fix It Sticks Remington 700 bolt opener. Fix It Sticks or a 1/4-inch driver are not included according to available data.
Safe use
Only work on unloaded, safely controlled systems and according to manufacturer instructions. Do not use force if the geometry does not engage cleanly. In case of unclear compatibility or deeper interventions, involve a gunsmith or manufacturer.
FAQ
Does the tool only fit the Remington 700? Remington 700 is explicitly confirmed. Other manufacturers are only generally mentioned with similar design; concrete compatibility must therefore be checked.
Is a driver included? No. The bolt opener has a 1/4-inch hex base; the matching driver is not confirmed as part of the delivery.
What does the polymer bushing protect? It sits at the contact area and is intended to protect the bolt plug from direct metal contact when using the special tool.
Is this a complete bolt maintenance set? No. It is a single special tool for the described opener function.

Black Raptor · classified as purchase decision relevant
Very useful if your bolt clearly matches the Remington 700 pattern. With only similar geometry, prior compatibility check is more important than the low price.
