Classification before purchase
A chassis change on a Tikka doesn’t start with the color, but with the system: This Whiskey-3 of generation 6 belongs on a Tikka T3, T3x or CTR with a short system. Then comes the magazine question, only then the decision between fixed and folding stock. If you reverse this order, you might choose a technically suitable chassis that still doesn’t fulfill the desired task in your own workflow.
The shop page summarizes five versions. The page title mentions a folding stock, but three of the selectable variants are fixed stock versions. This is no small detail: The folding function is not an afterthought, but a distinct design. The table below assigns each visible shop option definitively. This turns an unclear variant designation into a verifiable purchase decision.

Important for fit: This chassis is only suitable for Tikka T3, T3x and CTR with a short system. KRG names AICS magazines as the interface but explicitly excludes Magpul AICS polymer magazines. A magazine is not included in the delivery. For long Tikka systems, this Whiskey-3 version is not the right base.

Fixed stock or folding stock?
The designations in the variant selector do not always show the stock type. Therefore, compare the chosen label exactly with this assignment before adding it to the cart. The weights are manufacturer or product data of the respective variant and serve only for comparison between fixed and folding design.

The fixed stock is the honest choice if the rifle remains permanently assembled and no more compact transport size is needed. The folding stock belongs in a setup where the additional mechanism is actually used for transport or storage. For the folding version, KRG describes a positively locking closure: To open, the release button must be pressed; pulling on the stock is not the intended way to operate it.
Platform, magazine and limits
According to KRG, the Tikka inlet includes T3, T3x and CTR in short calibers. This does not mean that every Tikka or every similarly looking magazine fits. Long Tikka systems remain excluded. For the combination Tikka T3 and 6.5 PRC, KRG gives no functional guarantee. On the T3 TAC A1, a slight adjustment to the trigger guard may be necessary. These points are not formalities: They determine whether the chassis can be used without rework in your...
n vorhandenes System passt.

For a more forward-mounted attachment, KRG explicitly names the Spigot Mount for Whiskey-3 Gen 3 to 6. The KRG ARCA-Swiss Spigot Mount thus fits the Gen-6 family, but not an Enclosed Forend. Check before ordering if your fore-end has this counterpart.
Buy or not buy?

Buy if: your Tikka is clearly a T3, T3x, or CTR with a short action, a suitable AICS magazine is confirmed, and you have chosen the desired fixed stock or folding stock variant based on the table.
Don’t buy if: you want to build a long Tikka action, want to use a Magpul AICS polymer magazine, expect guaranteed feeding for T3 with 6.5 PRC, or the variant designation is not yet clearly assigned to the desired stock type.

FAQ
For which Tikka models is the Whiskey-3 Gen 6 intended? KRG names Tikka T3, T3x, and CTR with short actions. Long Tikka actions do not belong in this version. A slight adjustment to the trigger guard may be necessary on the T3 TAC A1.
Are all five shop selections folding stock versions? No. Black / Tikka / Chassis and Flat Dark Earth / Tikka / Chassis variant 5 are folding stock versions. The other three selections named in the table are fixed stock versions.
Which magazines fit? The interface is designed for AICS pattern. KRG excludes Magpul AICS polymer magazines; a magazine is not included.
What is included according to the Gen-6 manual? Included are the mounted Whiskey-3 chassis, the hardware bag with rear action screw and washer, and a KRG L2 Rail Kit with metric M5 hardware.
What is the practical difference between fixed stock and folding stock? The fixed stock keeps the setup simple. The folding stock adds a deliberately usable transport and storage function. The Gen-6 manual describes a positively locking closure with a separate release button for this.
When is this chassis not a genuine choice? Not for long Tikka actions, not for Magpul AICS polymer magazines, and not if your Tikka magazine combination is outside the limits confirmed by KRG. KRG gives no functional guarantee for T3 with 6.5 PRC.
