The magazine path is decided before the conversion
When converting a Tikka, the color, stock length, or front accessories are not the first priority. The real decision point is the magazine interface. This X-RAY version belongs to the Tikka-T3-Short-Action path with AICS magazines. KRG also offers its own Tikka-CTR version for CTR magazines on its current product page. Both paths do not fit together just because the system says "CTR."
The chassis is the basis for a suitable Tikka system, not the finished rifle. If you define the action, AICS magazine, and desired ergonomics beforehand, you can use the adjustment options effectively. If you want to clarify these interfaces only after ordering, you are starting with the wrong sequence.

Generation boundary before buying accessories:
This shop version is the Gen-4 version; information about the current Gen 5 is not transferred. For rails, spigots, fore-ends, and other additions, generation, mounting point, and interface must explicitly match the Gen-4 version.

Tikka action and AICS magazine belong together
For the Tikka inlet, KRG names T3, T3x, and CTR. The version offered here remains tied to the AICS magazine interface. An existing CTR system can only be the right starting point if the setup is consciously switched to AICS magazines. A CTR magazine does not make this chassis a CTR magazine version.
KRG specifies Tikka AICS-pattern magazines, excluding Magpul AICS polymer magazines. For a T3 TAC A1, an adjustment to the trigger guard may be necessary according to the manufacturer. These are concrete purchase limits: before buying, the action, magazine type, and for the TAC A1 the trigger guard must be checked.

What you are buying here:
A Gen 4 X-RAY chassis for the suitable Tikka short action with AICS magazine interface. It changes the cheek weld and adjustment options of the existing system but does not replace the action, barrel, magazine, or optics. The KRG manual describes an adjustable buttpad, a stock length adjustable via spacers, and a height-adjustable cheek rest with return to the previously chosen position.

Set ergonomics only after the basic fit
The adjustment options do not automatically make the setup suitable. First, the system-magazine combination is firmly defined. Then the optic position follows. Only based on this fixed reference is the cheek rest adjusted so the head aligns with the optic without pressure. The stock length then follows the actual cheek weld, not the desire to use as many spacers as possible.
The Gen-4 manual requires an unloaded rifle and removal of bolt and magazine before installation. The system screws are tightened alternately and gradually; KRG specifies 65 in-lb as the torque setting. This specification belongs to the manufacturer’s manual for this chassis and is no substitute for checking the suitable Tikka system.

Instructor tip: Magazine path before accessory list.
When assembling unloaded, first define the system, desired AICS magazine, and optic position. Then check the free magazine and bolt path before adding rail, bipod, or rear bag. The Gen-4 manual
points out that pressure on an inserted AICS magazine can push it against the bolt. The magazine is therefore not a bearing surface.

User note: Do not "tighten once," but set evenly.
Only tighten the system screws step by step alternately according to the KRG procedure and work up to the specified manufacturer specification. This prevents the action from being pulled unevenly into the chassis. If the magazine only behaves properly after adjusting the fore-end, follow the alignment instructions – no improvised changes at an unconfirmed contact point.

User note: Treat the cheek rest as a reproducible reference.
Adjust the rest with a relaxed head position to the mounted optic. The instructions describe a return function via the O-rings on the risers when the cheek rest is removed for cleaning. Do not simply mark any height, but use this function so that the chosen reference returns after removal.

Accessories only via the appropriate front interface
If you plan a movable ARCA-Swiss rest point on the matching X-RAY fore-end, the KRG ARCA-Swiss rail is a separate, optional option. KRG offers the ARCA Rail for X-RAY chassis but requires the appropriate mounting on the underside of the fore-end. An ARCA clamp, bipod, or spigot solution is therefore not automatically ordered or approved.
For a fixed Picatinny mounting point on the front underside, KRG names the Rail L2. The internal link deliberately leads to the selection KRG L2 Aluminum Picatinny Rail. On this product page, there is also an L3 option; it is not the interchangeable alternative for this X-RAY Gen 4. Before any order, the actual hole spacing on the chassis remains decisive.

Those who consciously build this combination get a Gen 4 base with comprehensible adjustment options for buttpad, stock length, and cheek rest. The most common misconception would be to equate the CTR designation of the system with the CTR magazine version from KRG or to adopt Gen 5 accessories just because of the common X-RAY name.
The X-RAY fits if your Tikka T3, T3x, or CTR is confirmed as a short action, AICS magazines are intended, and you have documented the Gen 4 mounting points. It does not fit if CTR magazines are to be retained, Magpul AICS polymer magazines are used, a T3 TAC A1 is to be modified without checking the trigger guard, or a complete rifle is sought.

Buy if: Tikka short action, AICS magazine, and Gen 4-specific accessory logic are confirmed before ordering.
