30 liters · Canvas · removable waterproof game bag
Farm-Land Canvas Hunting Backpack: a classic daypack with smart separation The Farm-Land Canvas is designed for users looking for a traditional hunting backpack with a manageable 30-liter capacity. Water-repellent canvas, two front pockets, and a removable waterproof game bag make it especially useful when you need to carry dry gear separately from dirty or wet items.
Important to know before buying: The backpack is water-repellent, not fully waterproof. The game bag protects its own compartment—it does not turn the entire backpack into a dry bag.

Our honest take

The Canvas is the more compact all-rounder in the Farm-Land backpack range. Its 30 liters typically provide enough room for day-trip gear, extra clothing, food, and hunting accessories without automatically stepping up to the capacity of a large multi-day backpack.
Its strength lies in combining classic materials with a practical interior solution. If you’re looking for maximum quiet on the stalk, consider a loden model instead. If you need significantly more capacity, the Canvas Pro is a better fit.

A good fit if … you’re looking for a classic daypack for the hunting grounds, Ans
itz and outdoor gear.
… 30 liters fit your actual packing list.
… a removable game bag is more important to you than modern lightweight materials.

Probably not the right fit if … … you regularly carry very bulky or heavy multi-day gear.
… fully waterproof outer protection is required.
… maximum quietness while stalking matters more than the rugged canvas construction.

Features and practical benefits

30-liter main compartment The capacity stays compact enough for a daypack. The benefit: less unnecessary empty space and less temptation to overload the pack with backup gear.

Removable game bag The waterproof liner keeps dirty or wet gear separate from the rest of the contents and can be cleaned separately. Let it dry completely after use before putting it back in.

Two front pockets Frequently needed small items stay separate from the main compartment. It helps to assign each pocket a fixed purpose, so you don't have to search for gloves, tools or documents every time you need them.

Leather shoulder straps The adjustable leather straps support the classic design. If carrying a heavier load, check the fit with the pack loaded; a modern load-bearing system is not specified.

Limitations, drawbacks and how to avoid the wrong purchase

Water-resistant does not mean waterproof: For prolonged or heavy rain, pack sensitive contents in waterproof inner bags as well.
30 liters is not automatically “enough for a day”: Clothing, weather, water and personal gear all matter. Lay out your complete packing list before buying.
The game bag does not protect the entire pack: It is a separate inner module, not a fully sealed outer system.
Traditional carrying system: If you carry a lot of weight over long distances, check comfort and fit with the pack loaded as you would use it.

Technical specifications and practical interpretation

Capacity Approx. 30 liters. Suitable for day gear and a modest amount of extra clothing, but limited for large multi-day packs.

Dimensions Approx. 55 × 65 cm according to the available product data. Textile constructions do not have rigid internal dimensions; check bulky items separately.

Material Water-resistant canvas sailcloth with leather shoulder straps. Designed to be classic and rugged, but it is not a waterproof laminate.

Organization Main compartment, two large front pockets, drawstring and flap closure with buckle. This supports designated access zones instead of loose packing.

Which version is the better fit?

Canvas 30 L The right choice if day gear, compact capacity and an affordable introduction to the classic Farm-Land design are your priorities.

Canvas Pro 48 L The better choice if you regularly need significantly more capacity and three front pockets. Extra storage is only worthwhile if your actual packing list needs it.

Choose the larger 48-liter version with additional front organization if you actually need it. Is the Canvas the quietest Farm-Land option? No. For particularly quiet stalking, a loden model like the Velveton Pro is a better fit in principle.

Black Raptor buying guide
Choose 30 liters deliberately—instead of carrying extra capacity you don’t need. The Farm-Land Canvas is a good fit if you’re looking for a classic, sturdy daypack with a blood-proof lining and have realistic expectations about the limits of water-repellent canvas. Choose the Canvas Pro for more capacity, or the Velveton Pro for quieter movement.
