Core knowledge: Check both interfaces first

The mount connects two standards: M-LOK on the fore-end and a compatible Sling-Stud/Harris-style attachment on the bipod. So just having M-LOK on the handguard is not enough – the clamp of the existing bipod must also fit the mount.
The low-profile design keeps the additional distance to the fore-end minimal. This reduces unnecessary height but does not replace checking slot position, balance, and sufficient material support.

As far forward as makes sense for stability, without interfering with support hand, sling, transport, or other attachments.
