Magpul · M-LOK
M-LOK AFG · angled front grip
For shooters who want to guide their support hand more consistently without using a high vertical grip under the handguard.

Fits well / fits rather not

Fits well
on compatible M-LOK handguards
when a flat, angled hand position is desired
when the grip point is coordinated with light, sling, and barricade contact

Fits rather not
on Picatinny-only without a matching M-LOK section
if you deliberately want a high vertical grip
if there is no space for hand and accessories at the desired mounting point

Practical use

Repeatable grip point The AFG gives the support hand a clear reference point. This can make the cheek weld and controls more consistent if the position matches your natural hand posture.

Low profile The angled design protrudes less downward than a classic vertical grip and stays closer to the handguard.

Position matters more than brand A good grip in the wrong place is still a bad setup. Test several positions dry first, then mount finally.

Polymer The data sheet lists polymer – lightweight and practical for this contact point.

Compatibility & variant choice

Interface: M-LOK. Check before purchase that real M-LOK slots are present and freely usable at the desired point.
Colours: Black, Flat Dark Earth, Gray, O.D. Green, and Modified Coyote Brown. According to available data, the colour variant does not change the basic function.

Limits, disadvantages & bad buy

Ergonomics remain individual: The AFG enforces a certain hand orientation. If you prefer a significantly more vertical hand position or have very little handguard length available, you are often better off with another grip or handstop solution. Mount only on a safe, unloaded system.

FAQ
Is this a vertical fore grip? No. The AFG is deliberately angled and flatter in design. Does it fit directly on Picatinny? No, this item is designed for M-LOK. Where should I mount it? Where your support hand naturally rests and other controls remain free. The position should be dry tested before final tightening. Does the color change the function? According to the available data, no.

Black-Raptor classification: Useful if you deliberately want a flat, reproducible support hand position. Not a mandatory part for every M-LOK setup – the ergonomics must fit your hand and your handguard.
