Magpul DAKA · Takeout Pouch
More volume than the flat DAKA pouches – for small gear sets The Takeout Pouch is designed for more three-dimensional contents. At about 7.75 × 4 × 6.25 inches, it is suitable for smaller sets that should stay together as a unit – such as cables, maintenance accessories, electronics, or EDC small parts.

Suitability and avoiding bad purchases

Fits well if … … you need more depth than a flat DAKA pouch and want to carry a compact gear set together.

Less suitable if … … you expect fixed internal dividers, strong padding, or maximum shock protection for sensitive equipment.

Limits / disadvantages: The Takeout Pouch organizes but does not securely fix the contents in shape. Additional padding remains advisable for sensitive devices. Check the dimensions against the largest item before ordering.
Practical benefits

More depth For accessories that don’t fit well in flat DAKA pouches but don’t yet need a large case.

Flexible use Range bag, vehicle, travel, or outdoor: useful wherever a small set should be quickly accessible as a unit.

Water-repellent construction Helps against dirt and moisture in everyday use but is no substitute for a waterproof hard case when fully submerged.

Colors Black and Flat Dark Earth; technically the same function, choice depends on setup or organizational logic.

FAQ
Is the Takeout larger than the classic flat DAKA pouches? It mainly offers more depth and is therefore better suited for three-dimensional equipment sets. Is it waterproof? The available data describes a water-repellent design; full underwater tightness is not claimed here. Is it padded? It is classified as a flexible organizational pouch, not as a shockproof padded case.
Black Raptor · Choose DAKA by content
The Takeout is the right direction if you need not just surface area but real volume. For sensitive equipment with shock risk, a more heavily padded or rigid system remains the better choice.
