Magpul PMAG AR/M4 GEN M3: Capacity and Platform First Choose Cleanly The GEN-M3 variants are designed for AR-15/M4-compatible 5.56×45/.223 systems. In the shop, 10- and 20-round versions are available in Black or Olive Drab.
The most important check: This PMAG belongs to the AR-15/M4 family. It is neither an AICS nor an AR-10/SR-25 magazine.

The choice is straightforward once platform and capacity are clarified. 10 rounds build more compact and interfere less on rests; 20 rounds reduce interruptions during training. Color and SKU are secondary to the matching magazine well and the legal requirements at the place of use.
