Mechanical backup for a cleanly planned Picatinny sight line
The MBUS Pro Front Sight is a folding steel front sight for compatible Picatinny setups. What matters is not only that it fits on the rail, but that front and rear sight work at the same sight height and the main optic does not block the folding path.
Backup sight instead of blind buy

Black-Raptor classification
A sensible choice for AR-15 setups where a mechanical backup is deliberately planned. The front sight alone does not make a complete sight: rear sight, rail height, optic, and desired co-witness must all fit together.

Fits your setup?

Fits well With a continuous, suitable Picatinny rail and a matching rear sight on the same sight line.

Fits rather not If the rear sight uses a different height, the front position is not on a suitable rail, or the optic/magnifier blocks the folding mechanism.

Features that matter in everyday use

Steel construction Robust mechanical backup for setups where a durable backup is more important than minimal weight.

Folding design Stays compact when not in use and can be brought into the sight line when needed.

Picatinny interface The mounting base is clearly defined
iert; M-LOK or other standards require a matching counterpart and are not directly interchangeable.

AR-15 context The existing Shopify data assign the sight to the AR-15/Range setup.

Limits and avoiding bad purchases
The MBUS Pro Front Sight is not a universal single sight. Check the rear sight used, the actual rail height, and the space below or next to the main optic before ordering. A suitable front sight on an unsuitable or differently high rail can create an incorrect sight line despite mechanically possible mounting.

Technical data with practical consequences

Type folding front sight/front sight post Practical consequence: requires a compatible rear sight for a complete mechanical sight.

Mounting Picatinny Practical consequence: check rail position and rail height before purchase.

Material steel Practical consequence: designed for robust backup, not for minimal additional weight.

Color black Practical consequence: neutral for dark range setups.

Scope of delivery

1 × Magpul MBUS Pro front folding sight, black
Rear sight, optic, and other mounts are not included in this item.

Use and safety
Only mount on an unloaded, secured system. After mounting, check for firm fit, free folding movement, and complete sight line. The mechanical sight must be zeroed or checked separately before use.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a complete sight set? No. This item is the front folding sight and requires a matching rear sight. Does it fit directly on M-LOK? No. The existing product data specify Picatinny as the interface. Can it be used under an optic? Only if build height, folding path, and desired sight line match the specific optic/mount combination. What is the most common bad purchase? Selecting front and rear separately without checking rail height and sight line as a combined system.

Clear purchase decision: Strong as a mechanical backup on a well-matched Picatinny setup; unsuitable as an isolated universal component without matching rear sight and height adjustment.
