Magpul · AR-15 · Ejection Port
Enhanced Ejection Port Cover: functional dust protection instead of a decorative upgrade The Magpul Enhanced Ejection Port Cover is a polymer cover for compatible AR-15 uppers. It protects the area of the ejection port in the closed position from dirt and foreign objects and is available in Black, O.D. Green, and Flat Dark Earth.
Purchase critical: “AR-15” does not automatically mean universal fit for every special upper.

Suitability and avoiding bad purchases

Fits well if … … your AR-15 upper is designed for this type and you want a corrosion-resistant polymer cover as a replacement or upgrade.

Probably doesn’t fit if … … your upper uses a different ejection port geometry, proprietary cover, or special design.

Limits / disadvantages: A dust cover only protects if it fits the upper and opens and closes freely. After any modification, freedom of movement and function must be checked; do not force if fit is unclear.
Practical benefits

Dirt protection When closed, the cover helps keep dust and foreign objects away from the ejection port.

Polymer construction Corrosion-resistant and lightweight; sensible as a functional everyday part instead of a heavy optics upgrade.

Color options Black, O.D. Green, and Flat Dark Earth – me
chanical function remains the same according to the data set.

Compatibility over looks The color is secondary. What matters is whether the upper, hinge/locking geometry, and movement path fit together.

Technical data with practical interpretation

Product type Ejection Port Cover for compatible AR-15 systems.

Material Polymer – lightweight and corrosion-resistant.

Variants Black, O.D. Green, and Flat Dark Earth.

Practical check After installation, the cover must close and open freely; interfering contacts are a disqualifying factor.

FAQ
Does the cover fit every AR-15? No. Non-standardized or proprietary uppers must be checked for the correct geometry before purchase. Is polymer a disadvantage here? Not fundamentally. It keeps the part light and corrosion-resistant; the secure fit and function remain decisive. Which color should I choose? The color choice is a setup question. Compatibility is more important for the purchase decision.
Black Raptor · Function over color
The Enhanced Ejection Port Cover is a small, functional AR-15 part – not a handstop or grip accessory. Those who carefully check upper compatibility and free function get a sensible dust cover solution without unnecessary promises.
